School of Discipleship Training
The New Hope Baptist Church School of Discipleship Training will offer a program of study that is specially designed for lay persons who desire to serve in a ministering capacity according to Ephesians 4:12 (to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up). This comes out of our understanding that the Church is the primary place for that ministry of equipping believers for Jesus Christ. Therefore the school will be a training arm of our Church and will serve as a vehicle whereby our Mission to equip disciples for the service of God is fulfilled. Any persons serving in any ministry to people is considered to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. After its inception, all members desirous of serving in any leadership capacity in the New Hope Baptist Church must complete one year of School of Discipleship Training. Those persons desirous of participating in graduation must attend as a regular student and receive a Certificate of Completion. An individual may attend any class as an auditor, but will not receive credits towards a certificate.
